“One Ocean Foundation supports the Centro Velico Caprera in its commitment to the preservation of the marine ecosystem with the course “Navigazione e Ambiente” (Navigation and Environment): a real environmental monitoring program led by a biologist that will have a real impact on the projects for the protection of the Archipelago of La Maddalena.
The aim of the project, supported by the National Park of the Archipelago of La Maddalena, is to provide participants with the basic knowledge of the marine environment typical of the Bonifacio Strait and the main threat factors; it will last weekly with a program that will continue until the third week of September.
The course will include wildlife monitoring, plankton sampling and marine litter census (marine litter).
The One Ocean Foundation has contributed to the project through the purchase of analysis tools and has provided logistical support, committing itself to spreading the importance of the environmental damage that pollution is bringing to our seas.”
