The oceans speak, the mountains listen

Federica Brignone, champion skier, a top athlete in the Italian alpine ski team, was the first Italian winner of the women’s overall in the Alpine Ski World Cup in 2020. Federica has been working for years to raise awareness of environmental sustainability issues among the general public with her project Traiettorie Liquide started in 2017.

Climate change due to global warming is the enemy of her element, snow. Federica is experiencing the effects that global warming is having even way up there in the mountains: melting glaciers and snowfields and increasingly shorter winter seasons. It is not just a problem for sport, but for the entire economy and the health of ecosystems.

Pollution of the sea and the atmosphere originates on land. We count on advocates like Federica so that the urgent need for us all to take action on our individual ecological footprints reaches the mountain peaks.

As a Foundation we help Federica, along with the other ambassadors, to reinforce her message using reliable scientific data and reference documents that contain best practices to limit global warming that are within everyone’s reach.
