Make way for the youngsters

Matteo is well known among teenagers. The Italian-German singer and influencer, born in 2003, is in Miami working with the latest trends in commercial music and embracing his passion, surfing and the sea.

“The sea for me is freedom, it is mystery, it makes me feel at peace with myself and with the world. Without the sea there is no life. It always makes me really sad to find waste and plastic on the beach and in the sea, and if I can contribute and play my part, I definitely will.

We young people are all aware of what’s going on, from global warming to plastic in the oceans. We are taught it at school; the problem is that few people change their habits, although in reality there is no need to change your life, just to be a little bit more aware: avoid buying plastic containers, prefer glass, don’t ask for straws, put everything into recycling bins, avoid plastic bags and recycle as much as possible. In short, small gestures that matter and make a difference: if we all did these things the world would already be a better place."

"That’s my message: we have a responsibility to others and to nature! I feel close to the cause of the One Ocean Foundation and I couldn’t be happier to be part of it as an Ambassador."
