One Ocean Foundation proudly announces a new strategic partnership with the Regenerative Society Foundation (RSF), built upon shared core values and a common vision: a regenerative future where science, business, and the environment work in synergy. The goal is both ambitious and tangible — to promote the regeneration of marine ecosystems through scientific research, widespread knowledge, and sustainable development models.
The official launch of the collaboration took place during One Ocean Week 2025 with the public event “Connecting the dots: Interdependencies Between People, Land and Water”, held on Friday, May 23 in Piazza XXIV Maggio in Milan. The talk provided a multidisciplinary dialogue on the deep connections between oceans, agricultural practices, and human activity, with a focus on the crucial role of ecosystem services in ensuring the planet’s resilience.
Moderated by Chiara Patitucci, Secretary General of RSF, the panel featured experts and innovators including Paolo Frigati (CEO of Persea S.p.A – Società Benefit), Luca Cerruti (founder of KelpEat), Helene Molinari (founder of Fondazione SUMus), and Francesco Notari (Sustainability Consultant for Ogyre). Together, they explored new frontiers in regeneration, highlighting how human activity can have a positive environmental impact when approached through a systemic lens.
The collaboration between One Ocean Foundation and the Regenerative Society Foundation is based on the belief that regenerating marine ecosystems is a key element in the transition towards a regenerative economy — one that integrates scientific knowledge with responsible business vision. This alliance recognizes the ocean as essential natural capital and promotes innovative tools to guide environmental decisions at a systemic level.
The partnership aims to actively engage institutions, businesses, and citizens in building a development model that sees nature not as a resource to exploit, but as an ally to regenerate.
