Ocean Disclosure Initiative
The Ocean Disclosure Initiative is an ocean-focused framework and methodology that addresses the most significant pressures exerted by each industry on marine ecosystems. It is science-based, consistent with a sustainability risk management approach, multi-stakeholder and aligned with existing initiatives. With the Ocean Disclosure Initiative companies, the scientific and financial communities, and civil society can rely on a common language to address and mitigate the most relevant direct and indirect pressures that humanity exerts on the ocean.
Report 2023: Capturing the Blue Opportunity
The report aims to highlight the ocean’s critical role in sustaining the planet and addressing pressing global challenges in the context of the current climate crisis. It highlights how the ocean’s health and preservation are directly linked to the well-being of ecosystems, biodiversity, and the livelihoods of countless communities worldwide.
Report 2021: Focus on the Fashion Industry
This study deep-dives into a specific industrial sector: the fashion industry. It uses an in-depth analysis of the sustainability reports of 28 major fashion companies. The report offers a snapshot of the fashion industry’s main pressures on the environment and, more specifically, on marine ecosystems, and provides a clear view of sustainable best practices along the value chain.

Report 2020: A Global Perspective
This report broadens the perspective of our analysis and contributes to better understanding global trends with regard to ocean-based sectors and other inland industries. It involves international companies, which together account for about 50% of total market capitalization and analyzes how they act in terms of environmental sustainability. The research maps their level of awareness and action on issues related to the preservation of marine environments.

Blue Forest
The “lung” of the Mediterranean Sea
The Blue Forest project aims to protect and restore Posidonia oceanica meadows in the Mediterranean Sea through on-field restoration activities, support scientific research, implementation of innovative technologies, partnerships with local stakeholders, and raise awareness among the community. These commitments align with the international policies addressing marine biodiversity issues and contribute to achieving the objectives of the UN Agenda 2030 and the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration (2021–2030).

Sail4Change is a world educational project with the aim to raise awareness among the younger generations in 23 countries around the world about the greatest challenge of our time: climate change and its impact on the ocean.
One Ocean Young
One Ocean Foundation wants to act as an accelerator of a blue educational change through support, selected contents and quality experiences for the new generations of the sea. In One Ocean Foundation we believe that educating the younger generations to climate issues is the most efficient way to raise awareness on the importance of the sea from an ecologic and a blue economy perspective.
