Together for a more sustainable future

One Ocean Foundation announces a new partnership with WAMI – Water With a Mission, created to strengthen the shared commitment to environmental protection and the responsible use of water resources.

This new collaboration represents a further step forward in the Foundation’s mission: protecting the ocean and water in all their forms, transforming sustainability into concrete action capable of generating a positive impact on people and communities.

WAMI becomes Technical Partner of One Ocean Foundation

One Ocean Foundation welcomes WAMI as a new Technical Partner, supporting the Foundation during events and initiatives dedicated to environmental awareness.

The shared goal is to promote a culture of sustainability and an increasingly conscious use of water, a fundamental resource for life on the Planet.

The partnership was officially presented during the Get Together, the annual event dedicated to the Foundation’s partners.

The water project in Nicaragua, in collaboration with WeWorld

At the heart of the collaboration between One Ocean Foundation and WAMI lies a water project in Nicaragua, developed in partnership with WeWorld, an organization that has long been committed to promoting human rights and the sustainable development of the most vulnerable communities.

The initiative aims to ensure continuous access to safe drinking water, an essential resource for health, education, and economic development.

Thanks to this project, it will be possible to provide 1 million liters of drinking water to a family of seven people, concretely improving living conditions and reducing the risks associated with waterborne diseases.

In contexts such as Nicaragua, access to water is a key factor in: protecting health, especially for women and children, reducing social inequalities, building a more stable and sustainable future for local communities.

This intervention fully reflects the vision of One Ocean Foundation, which promotes an integrated approach to sustainability, where the protection of natural resources is closely linked to people’s well-being.

WAMI: social and environmental impact, and transparency

WAMI is a certified B Corp, combining social and environmental impact within a responsible business model.

Each product sold contributes to the construction of water supply systems for communities without access to drinking water, donating 100 liters of water to families in different areas of the world.

Beyond its social commitment, WAMI adopts a concrete approach to transparency and the measurement of its climate impact, with certified data covering the entire product life cycle. Its packaging is 100% recyclable or reusable – made from rPET, aluminum, or returnable glass – and each bottle or can features a unique code, allowing consumers to trace the donation and learn about the beneficiary family.

Water as a symbol: art, stories, and connections

To symbolically celebrate the launch of the partnership, WAMI created a series of special bottles, transformed into narrative objects through the artistic intervention of Andrea Crespi.

Inside each bottle, the artist metaphorically “hid” a message, recalling the idea that water is not only a vital resource but also a carrier of stories and experiences. An element capable of connecting territories, cultures, and people—just like art and the ocean.

During the Get Together event, the bottles contained silver tickets, granting free admission to Andrea Crespi’s exhibition at Fabbrica del Vapore. Some bottles also included 5 exclusive golden tickets, which entitles the holders not only to free admission for two people but also to receive the official exhibition catalogue.

A shared commitment

With this partnership, One Ocean Foundation and WAMI join forces to deliver a clear message: sustainability is a team effort.

A shared commitment that places water at the center as a common good— a resource to be protected and a tool for human development—capable of generating real impact from the ocean to communities.
