An evening in Portofino, with Lunarossa Team and the Prada Cup
The Prada Cup is the prize cup for the winner of the Challenger Series, the selection to access the America’s Cup against the Defender.

In its role as Luna Rossa’s Sustainability Partner, One Ocean Foundation was the protagonist of an organized event on 9 July in Portofino by Pirelli, in collaboration with the Municipality of the Ligurian village to celebrate the victory of the Prada Cup in Auckland.

The event was held in Portofino, hosted by Marco Tronchetti Provera, CEO of Pirelli, together with Patrizio Bertelli, Team Principal of Luna Rossa.
The meeting, conducted in an informal style by Sky Sport journalist Giovanni Bruno, retraced the salient moments of Luna Rossa’s adventure and saw guests on stage two Ambassadors of the One Ocean Foundation, skipper Max Sirena and helmsman Checco Bruni. Among the guests the Mayor of Genoa, Marco Bucci, notes his passion for sailing and the sea and the Governor of Liguria Giovanni Toti.

The highlight for One Ocean Foundation was the screening of the institutional video, in which a child’s voice explains how urgent and necessary it is to protect the sea. Anyone interested can review it by clicking here. (insert the active link to the video)

Riccardo Bonadeo and Jan Pachner, respectively executive vice president and general secretary of One Ocean Foundation, attended the event.

Patrizio Bertelli confirmed that Luna Rossa will participate in the next edition of the America’s Cup, the team will soon be operational again at the Cagliari base with the aim of “winning the Cup for Italy, with Luna Rossa”. One Ocean Foundation is particularly pleased to be able to be alongside Luna Rossa for this new double challenge: winning the America’s Cup and protecting the oceans for future generations.
