The sea is not only an ecosystem to be protected but also a powerful container of stories and images capable of moving and inspiring reflection. This is why One Ocean Foundation supports Ocean Film Festival Italia, the international showcase promoted by Itaca The Outdoor Community, which brings to Italian cinemas the best films dedicated to the sea and the ocean, selected among the finalists of the Ocean Film Festival Australia.
This collaboration takes shape in a special event in Milan: on October 14, 2025, at Teatro Carcano, a double event will combine science with the evocative power of cinema. The evening program includes the presentation of "Rotte mediterranee. Viaggio sull’onda del cambiamento climatico" by Sandro Carniel, oceanographer, science communicator, and member of the Scientific Committee of One Ocean Foundation, followed by the screening of the films from the ninth edition of the Ocean Film Festival World Tour Italia.
The partnership with One Ocean Foundation
Always committed to scientific research and outreach on ocean conservation, One Ocean Foundation believes it is essential to share these values with the wider public. The partnership with Ocean Film Festival Italia, promoted by Itaca The Outdoor Community, meets precisely this need: bringing a message of awareness to Italian cities through the most engaging images and stories.
Every year, the Festival travels across the country with new screenings and an always fresh program.
