The most prestigious award for a sailor is the Rolex Sailor of the Year Award which this year was awarded by the World Sailing Federation to Caterina Banti, One Ocean Foundation ambassador. Congratulations to Caterina for her victory in the female category, in front of other international high-profile sailors. Together with his crew mate Ruggero Tita, also awarded the prize for the male category, they defeated the fierce competition winning both the gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics and the World Championship in the Nacra 17 foiling mixed catamaran.

One Ocean Foundation also wishes to congratulate the engineer Andrea Camin, president of Fraglia Vela Riva for the President's Development Award, assigned by the president of World Sailing in recognition of the youth development activity through the Easter Meeting of the Optimist Class, characterized by a high number of participants and nations, which in fact included him - in 2012 - in the Guinness World Record. Fraglia Vela Riva has signed the Charta Smeralda, One Ocean Foundation’s ethical code, committing to implement ecological and sustainability initiatives already undertaken independently by the Garda Trentino sailing club.
